When asked to launch the most anticipated car in automotive history, we leaned into what it was best known for in the 60’s - its iconic two tone paint job and Volkswagen’s legendary witty copywriting style.

 

We started it all a week before the launch, with nationwide teasers that got people wondering what VW was doing.
A week later, we revealed these billboards highlighted all the colors the new bus has to offer.

And then turned those teasers into reminiscent Volkswagen ads, along bus routes across America.

This campaign even started viral debates on Reddit and Instagram, with people debating if our headlines were grammatically correct or not - spoiler alert, they are.
